After brushing his teeth, Sandy heads to the dining hall for breakfast.
“I’d like an egg and a piece of bread, thank you.”
He finds a seat to sit down and eat his breakfast. He can’t stop thinking about the system, even now as he sits there.
“Hey! hh!”
“Dear master, what can I do for you?”
“What can you do for me?”
“I can help you study.”
Sandy falls silent—or rather, he is left speechless. But he quickly changes his mind: he thinks it’s a superpower. “Actually, this is pretty good.”
He walks into his classroom, standing at his seat, and starts reading his book in a low voice. Suddenly, a system panel appears in front of him. Although he is shocked, he doesn’t make a sound.

No one else can see the panel except him. “I know I’m handsome,” he says. “But what’s up with my IQ?”
“Please look carefully. It isn’t your IQ. The upper limit for Intelligence is 100.”
“O~K~ so I’m still smart.”
Then Sandy continues reading his book quietly as the system panel disappears. It suddenly occurs to him that he doesn’t know how to upgrade, so he asks silently, “How do I level up?”
“I will assign you tasks from time to time. Complete them to earn EXP and level up.”
“OK! So do I have a task now? I can’t wait to get started!”
「Task: Please sit down first.」
Sandy regains his composure and his awareness returns to reality. When he sees that all the other students are seated and staring at him, he feels extremely awkward and sits down quickly.
Congratulations on completing the mission. No reward.
“What! ***”
“Hey, Sandy! Are you in a daze?” his teacher asks.
“No, nothing!”
“What the **! Another three-pointer!” his deskmate mutters.
“Get the hell out of here!” his teacher orders.
“Yes, sir!”
The tough morning reading session finally comes to an end. Sandy has three classes in the morning and two more in the afternoon. You’ll notice that he often seems to be in a daze—maybe he’s chatting with hh, or just spacing out.
Sandy is especially excited during his last morning class. Once it ends, he can rush to the dining hall for a delicious meal. The bell rings, and he dashes out of the classroom. But when he pays for his food and is about to eat, he realizes he can’t move—specifically, he can’t make himself take a bite.
To others, Sandy just sits there silently.
「You do not have enough currency (??). The meal costs 10 ??. Please complete tasks to earn currency.」
“***!You don't tell me earlier! "
He has no choice but to give his food to his friends, telling them he has a stomach ache. Then Sandy runs back to his dorm room.
“It is a little boring now,why not complete the task?”Sandy lies on his bed without doing something. “OK.hh,what's the task?"
「1 1=?」
“……Two”
“Right!”
“***! Why didn’t you tell me earlier! Now I can’t even have lunch!”
“Congratulations,Host.You complete this task to gain 10 ?? and 10 EXP.”
“Hey! I’m talking to you!”
“I just realized there’s a newer gift for you.”
“What? A gift?”
“A legendary-tier gift.”
“OK, I forgive you. Open it.” Sandy pretends to be angry, but inside he’s thrilled: “Legendary!Wait, I have 10 ?? now—so I can go back to lunch!”
Sandy runs to the dining hall in a hurry. When he gets back to the seat that he sit before, he sees an empty plate next to his friends’ table.
“Hey, Sandy! You have a stomachache, haven't you?”
“Eee… Yeah! I think I left my coat here.”
“It’s summer. What are you talking about?”
“See you later.” Sandy says awkwardly and hurries back to his dorm.
“Dear master! It doesn’t matter if you skip lunch, but you must not open the new gift yet.
Sandy sighs and says, “Open it. I need to know how legendary it is!”
Dear master, you have gained:
「100 ??, a Double EXP Card, a clue to a legendary task, and a legendary box.」
“Nice! Now I’m rich! Ha ha! Open the legendary box now. I think I’m very very lucky today!”
“Congratulations host!you have obtained an SSS-rank eraser.
“Is it useful? I’m not a lucky dog—I’m just a dog!”
In the afternoon, Sandy finishes his classes, hangs out with his classmates, and finally has a proper dinner. He goes to bed and falls asleep soon. Good night!
(P.S. You might be wondering why Sandy could eat breakfast but not lunch. Just imagine—if he’d known eating required ??, would he have skipped lunch? Also, you might be confused why Sandy doesn’t rebel. That’s because his system, hh, has mysterious powers.)
